Comfort ye my people” the tenor sings when Christmas is just round the corner. Michael Hofstetter conducts the first part of Handel’s Messiah with the announcement of the Saviour’s coming and the birth of the baby Jesus, followed by the messages of peace and the “Hallelujah” from the second part. The performance, which lasts just over one hour, presents the Christmas version of the Messiah.
