Award Winner: "Rap! Not Rape!" – Styrian Prize Against Violence
Since October 2022, a cooperation between the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory Graz, the University of Performing Arts Graz, and the City of Graz has brought 'Vivaldi Monday' to life at the Youth Centre Funtastic Graz.
As part of the Vivaldi-Projekt Graz, children aged 4 to 8 receive free weekly violin lessons from highly-trained student artists. Under the guidance of Daniela Hölbling, these university students gain valuable practical experience as they begin their own journeys in teaching.
The award-winning Vivaldi Project — named after composer and teacher Antonio Vivaldi — is a violin pedagogy program founded by Professor Ida Bieler. It uniquely combines high-level pedagogical training for emerging artists with the mission of bringing quality music instruction to children in underserved communities.
